I most likely would not have written this, but seeing how hard the Flora base is working on spinning the word “PLAN” when they all know what it meant.
Gather 'round, my fellow true grassroot patriots (not the RINOs, Establishment, and Uniparty hacks), as I delve into this curious case of Deborah Flora, a tale of political scheming that would make even Bill Clinton (Mr. “IS”) blush with jealousy. Our dear Deborah, a self-proclaimed champion of conservative values, has shown us that the art of political commitment is as fluid as Dr. Kevorkian’s VI treatments.
In our dark theater of Colorado politics, our protagonist, Deborah, was presented with a golden opportunity to prove her mettle and uphold the sacred principles of democracy. But alas, it seems that the calling of political expediency proved too alluring to resist. Tossing out reasons like beads at a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade.
As the Colorado State Assembly loomed on the horizon, our heroine found herself grappling with the weight of her own promises. Like a magician pulling rabbits out of hats, she skillfully transformed her "PLAN" to participate in the democratic process into a master vanishing act.
With the bravado of her pen and a serpent tongue, Deborah penned a message to her faithful delegates, dripping with counterfeit gratitude and excuses that had the odor of a skunk right after a car ran it over. The unpredictable nature of the democratic process seemed too much for candidate Flora to bear, and she opted instead to march onto the ballot using her paid-in-full petitions, thumbing her nose to the will of the people of CD4.
But fear not, my fellow grassroot conservatives, for the Parker Conservatives, dares to remind Ms. Flora of the quaint notion that a commitment is something to be upheld. Alas, it seems that in the age of disposable promises, a simple confirmation email is but a feeble tether to the whims of political ambition.
So, let us raise our glass to Deborah for her brazen defiance of accountability and her masterful manipulation of the word "PLAN." She has taken a simple concept of committing and twisted it into a veritable pretzel of political convenience (just like a political veteran of the DC swamp), leaving those who took her at her word with nothing but the bitter aftertaste of betrayal.
And to the people of Douglas County, let this be a lesson. When a politician tells you they have a "PLAN," remember that in the grand bazaar of political bargains, a "PLAN" is just another commodity to be traded away when the winds of opportunity blow in a more favorable direction or the person loses their spine.
Stay vigilant, my friends, for the political landscape is fraught with those who would play fast and loose with the truth. As we stand united in our commitment to true grassroot conservative values and principles, let us not forget the lessons of the past, lest we be doomed to repeat them.
Yours in the fight for accountability!
Until next time. Oh, wait. The election is not until June 25; I have 78 days to continue to grind on this betrayal of your word! And grind, I will; just ask my good friend Anthony Hartsook.
