From the Border to the Bank: How Illegal Immigration Fuels Massive Fraud

If, for some reason, you are still confused about why “build the wall, deport them all” isn’t some fringe chant but a basic statement of sanity, Congratulations! But have you been paying attention to the news over the last couple of days? There has been this ongoing theme of fraud, lawlessness, and taxpayer-funded criminal enterprises, all wrapped in the warm, bureaucratic hug of government incompetence and progressive cowardice.

Let’s head back to Minnesota, where reality has officially left the building, and their Governor is the poster face for “retarded”. So get this ….. A man awaiting trial for his role in the largest COVID fraud scheme in U.S. history, “Feeding Our Future” is still billing the government millions of dollars. Yes, still. Gandhi Yusuf Muhammad, who changed his name to Gandhi Abdi Kdi, was indicted for laundering over $1.1 million in fraudulent funds tied to fake meals for needy children. That scandal alone cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. And what is he doing today while awaiting trial? Sitting in a cell? Facing deportation? Having his assets frozen? Of course not.

He’s operating multiple assisted-living facilities and billing taxpayers tens of millions more through Medicaid and other programs. Between 2019 and 2024 alone, this scumbag soaked the government for an additional $49 million. At some point, the question stops being “who committed the fraud” and becomes “who in government made this possible?” Spoiler alert: it’s the same people who tell you border enforcement is “cruel.” Or look to grant amnesty to illegal aliens via the Dignity Act, like Gabe Evens, CD8!

Now let’s head east to Massachusetts, where federal prosecutors charged two Haitian immigrants, one a naturalized citizen, the other a lawful permanent resident, with running a nearly $7 million SNAP fraud operation. Their so-called “grocery stores” had empty shelves, little foot traffic, and somehow redeemed up to half a million dollars a month in food stamps, that's more than some major grocery stores. Undercover investigators caught them swapping SNAP benefits for cash (say it’s not so), laundering money through secondary bank accounts, selling liquor illegally, and even reselling food packages meant for children overseas. Every dollar of it paid for by you and me, the taxpayer.

This is what open borders, past poor enforcement, and weak-minded elected officials actually look like. It’s not about diversity. It’s not about compassion. It’s not about asylum-seekers chasing the American Dream. It looks like organized crime (because it is), rewarded with fat government checks and protected by politicians who are too afraid, or too compromised, to stop it.

So yes, build the wall. Strengthen Border Patrol and ICE. Deport all illegal aliens. Revoke benefits. Shut down the fraud pipelines. And maybe, just maybe, start vetting the people we’re letting stay. Because the only thing more outrageous than the criminals running these schemes is the system that keeps paying them after they’re caught.
