In Douglas County, Colorado, a new challenge emerges that strikes at the very heart of our conservative community. The would-be leaders of Rocky Mountain Voice. RMV is holding meetings with conservative groups throughout Colorado, most recently in Douglas County. RMV positions themselves as the torchbearer of conservative values, are revealing a troubling paradox in its approach. While they proclaim a commitment to the principles we hold dear, their actions, particularly in the realm of public discourse, betray a starkly different reality. Under the guise of "Commentary," they simultaneously publish and then condemn the true grassroots movement they claim to support, embodying a hypocrisy that undermines the integrity of our constitutional conservative movement.

This deception is not just disappointing, in RMV, it's a direct affront to the foundational views of conservatism. A philosophy that celebrates the sanctity of personal conviction. Yet, these new would-be leaders, through their contradictory actions, seem intent on pushing aside the true grassroots, asking for conformity to their definition of grassroots that, in reality, is the “Establishment” version. Worse still, those who dare to question or deviate from their prescribed narrative are swiftly branded as adversaries, blamed for the broader Republican Party's setbacks and electoral losses.

The time has come during our upcoming Douglas County Caucus (March 7, 2024) for a revival of true grassroots conservatism, one that disdains hypocrisy and embraces individuals who hold true to their values and principles. The path forward must reject the false contradiction presented by groups and individuals like Rocky Mountain Voice, which seek to narrow the conservative dialogue and brand us the true grassroots conservatives as Rightwing Extremists.

Listen up, grassroots conservative groups in Douglas County, don’t forget, we are large and in charge! We hold the majority and are poised to lead this change, and that scares the heck out of the Establishment and RINO’s. We must continue to advocate for a return to the core principles that have long defined our movement. Only by shedding the constraints of hypocrisy and embracing the true constitutional conservative thought can we hope to forge an effective, and victorious conservative movement. With or without Rocky Mountain Voice.

FYI, my personal preference is “without”. There is already enough double speak to go around we don’t need RMV making it worse. But this is just my opinion, you know, “Commentary”!
