Following the Parker Conservative meeting last night, Mark had the unique opportunity to spend some time with "A Brick," the talk of the town after its surprising victory over Anthony Hartsook in a recent survey. Their conversation shed light on “A Brick’s” unconventional yet insightful take on local politics and beyond.
Mark: "A Brick," your campaign against the Parker Grocery Tax has caught everyone's attention. What's driving this initiative?
"A Brick": Mark, slapping a tax on groceries? That's like loading extra bricks on folks already carrying a heavy load. I'm all about support, not additional weight. Scrapping this tax is like laying a solid foundation for the community—providing relief, not extra burdens. And I like how Jeff held me for our picture. Jeff has my full support, as he supported me.
Mark: Your candid thoughts on the Republican Establishment and RINOs have certainly sparked debate. Care to elaborate?
"A Brick": Here's the deal, Mark. These establishment folks, they're like cracked bricks in a wall—just don't hold up under stress. Us grassroots conservatives? We're the bedrock. Watering down our values and principles to blend in with the middle, like Rocky Mountain Voice advocates, is like mixing sand into concrete. We need to be solid, and unwavering.
Mark: With the Douglas County Caucus looming on March 7, 2024, what's the importance of participation?
"A Brick": Mark, it's critical. Each vote is like a brick in our community's foundation. Miss a few, and the integrity's compromised. We need full engagement, every brick in place, for a strong and enduring structure.
Mark: Now, about the next Parker Conservative meeting, will you grace us with your presence in March?
"A Brick": Promise me no muzzling and perhaps play my anthem (Pink Floyd, Another Brick in the Wall), and I might just make an appearance. These meetings could use a dose of raw truth, served with a side of humor. And I'm keen to see if Bond returns, maybe with a flashy gadget or two this time.
Mark: Your recent "meeting" with "Bond" was quite the highlight. Your thoughts?
"A Brick": That's definitely amusing, Mark. I am talking about a real leader like Dagny Van Der Jagt, our next Attorney General for JD 23, and her son Bond. There are no spy cars, but the spirit's there.
Mark: And your thoughts on not appearing in Tracer for the election?
"A Brick": Look, Mark, how's a brick supposed to navigate a computer, let alone Tracer? But it's the idea that counts, right? Even if I'm technically not running, the message is loud and clear. If I had a radio show, this would not be an issue, so move on.
Mark: Speaking of messages, your surprising victory over Anthony Hartsook in the recent survey has turned heads. Thoughts?
"A Brick": That survey, Mark? It's like a wake-up call, in concrete form. If a literal brick can outdo Hartsook, what does that say? It's not just about beating the man, it's about what we stand for. It's a signal, loud and clear, that the foundation of change is already being laid, one brick at a time. Look what my cousin “None of the Above” just did in Nevada Primary to that RINO Nikki. You can feel the humiliation across the county on this one.
Mark: Hartsook's reaction to your comments?
"A Brick": If he's stirred up by a bit of brick banter, he's in for a real shake-up. This is just the foundation. We're building up to something much bigger, and every brick counts.
Mark: Thank you for your time tonight, “A Brick”, I look forward to our next interview.
“A Brick”: It's no problem. We can catch up on your journalist friend Joy. If you have any pull at all, get Dave Williams from the Colorado GOP to sit in. Is that too much to ask? I know Jon Caldara doesn’t return your calls.
