Who Needs Facts When Feelings Feel So Good?

Oh, the sheer joy of voting with one’s feelings rather than one's brain! The recent DNC showcased this phenomenon beautifully, with progressive Democrats bouncing about, hearts on their sleeves, blissfully unaware of the contradictions in their stance. It’s like they’re living in a reality TV show, except the consequences are real, folks.

Democrats pride themselves on being the champions of the "little guy," (LOL) the downtrodden, the disenfranchised. Yet, when you look at where these guardians of the poor choose to live, it's all about gated communities, top-tier schools (whiter than a snowstorm in Aspen), and local eateries that serve quinoa salad rather than fast food. Do you think they'd survive a day in the neighborhoods whose interests they pretend to serve? Let’s not kid ourselves, and Oprah railing about income inequality, George Orwell would be so proud.

It's fascinating, isn't it? These types of voters, highly educated, high earners, mostly nestled in liberal fortresses like San Francisco or Boulder, routinely vote for policies that are supposedly against their economic interests. "The rich need to pay more taxes," they chant from their multi-million-dollar, eco-friendly towers. But do they really believe in sharing their wealth, or is it just a lovely guilt-relief mechanism, a way to sleep better in their Egyptian cotton sheets?

Let’s break it down. These voters feel “great” voting for feel-good policies. It gives them a moral high, like a hit of organic Weed. What they get in return, however, are policies that ultimately benefit them, keeping their neighborhoods free of undesirables, their schools elite, and their conscience clear while keeping the average American down and out. It’s an emotional charity, folks, where feelings matter more than effective solutions.

Consider this: liberals govern the cities with the worst outcomes for the very groups they claim to champion. Segregated schools? Check. High crime? Check. Poor living conditions? Double check. Yet, they pat themselves on the back for their progressive values while the cities and people they govern crumble under the weight of ineffective policies and graft, driven by emotions rather than practicality.

And what about taxes? Oh, the irony! The U.S. tax system taxes the rich quite heavily. Yet, it seems every time a Democrat is at the helm, the rhetoric soars. Meanwhile, Republican policies like the Earned Income Tax Credit actually that put money directly into the hands of the poor look to be repealed. But hey, who needs facts when feelings feel so good?

The bottom line? While liberal Democrat voters indulge in their emotional feelings binge, thinking they’re helping the less fortunate, they're actually ensuring their comfortable status quo, all while sipping the Jim Jones Kool-Aid of social justice, DEI, and the killing of innocent lives. So next time a progressive Democrat tries to tell you they vote with their heart because it’s the “right thing to do,” maybe remind them to try using their brain instead. It might just make a real difference.
