With this New Year

With this New Year, we should take a minute, just a minute, to ponder. Like dusting off your favorite book and finding solace within its pages. But let’s not kid ourselves, hope can be a mirage, our collective dream that maybe, just maybe, this year will be different with the 2024 election looming near the end of the year.

Let’s talk about some of my American dreams. It’s not about getting a free ride, where’s the attraction in that? We grassroots conservative Americans are cut from a different cloth that’s rough around the edges but durable. We are after an honest shot, a fair shake, not a handout. We're in the business of earning respect, not expecting it.

Our justice system? We are tired of a two-tier system that becomes clearer each passing day, where the “Elites" are rarely brought to true justice. We want judges removed that work to manipulate the Constitution to suit their political ideology.

For the military, we want our defense tough as nails. Stop with all the DEI crap and inclusion speak. We want you to recruit the best and the brightest ready to lay our adversaries to waste if called upon.

Education should be about lighting fires in young minds, not brainwashing them with gender fluidity and hate of our country and their fellow citizens. Give us thinkers, movers, and shakers, not parrots.

And leadership, how about some real public servants for a change? Not these lifers in Congress playing musical chairs with their careers. It's high time for the government that understands it's there to serve, not to rule. Because in the end, what we, the American people, crave is a system that's as good as its word, where the rule of law isn't a punchline, and where hard work pays off every time.
