Colorado GOP Crowns a RINO: Cleave Simpson’s Squishy Rise to Power

Patriots of Colorado, buckle up, because the Colorado GOP Senate caucus just pulled a stunt that’ll make your blood boil. They’ve hoisted Sen. Cleave Simpson, a card-carrying RINO, to lead the pack, replacing Paul Lundeen, who bailed for a gig at a conservative nonprofit. You’d think they’d pick a fighter, a true conservative to carry the torch. Instead, they crowned Simpson, whose record is so squishy it reminds me of the spine in a jellyfish. This smells like a backroom deal cooked up by spineless opportunists, and it’s a slap in the face to every grassroots conservative Republican.
Let’s talk numbers. Simpson flunked the Colorado Liberty Scorecard with a pathetic 47, yep, the lowest score of any Republican in the Senate. That’s not a badge of honor; it’s a scarlet letter screaming, “I’d rather cozy up to progressives than fight for conservative values and principles!” This guy’s voting record is a love letter to compromise, siding with the left on issues that make real conservatives gag. And yet, the caucus looked at this walking surrender flag and said, “That’s our guy!” Are you kidding me? You should elect the mail person in the capital to fill the vacancy.
Simpson’s rise reeks of establishment and RINO rot. He was the assistant minority leader, so maybe they thought he was “next in line” like some royal succession. Newsflash: We’re not a monarchy, and we don’t owe RINOs a promotion for betraying our conservative values and principles. His pal, Sen. Barbara Kirkmeyer, gushed that he’s “honest, thoughtful, fair.” Oh barf….Great. So’s my accountant, but I’m not making him a general of a conservative army.
Colorado deserves warriors, not wimps. Simpson’s elevation is a travesty, a middle finger to every conservative patriot fighting for our children, lower taxes, and safer streets. We’re not here to clap for participation trophies. Demand better. Call your senators. Raise hell. Because if we let RINOs like Simpson and Kirkmeyer steer this ship, we’re not just losing, we’re sinking. And I, for one, am not going down without a fight.
