Crime Goes Down When You Stop Enforcing the Law, No Kidding!

Listen up, folks of Colorado, it appears our esteemed Governor Jared Polis (more like a steaming pile of cr@p) thinks he's pulled the wool over our eyes with his latest performance on crime statistics. Oh, crime’s going down, he proclaims from his lofty throne. But let’s slice through this absurdity.

Governor Polis boasts a 15% overall decrease in violent crimes, including a dramatic 27% drop in murders and a 15% reduction in non-consensual sexual offenses. Property crimes? Those are reportedly down more than 25%, with motor vehicle thefts plunging by 33% and burglaries by 23%. But here’s the real scoop: these crime statistics are not a result of effective law enforcement, but rather a consequence of the Governor's policies that discourage police from making arrests and DAs from pressing charges, especially for those who are here illegally. Shocking, isn’t it? When you stop pursuing criminals, the numbers magically improve because no one's being arrested and charged anymore!

With all due respect, Governor Polis (and that’s not much at this juncture), do you really take us for idiots? This isn’t a reduction in crime; it's a reduction in accountability. For instance, the policy of not prosecuting crimes has led to a lack of consequences for offenders. It’s like bragging about losing weight because you’ve tossed out your scale.

And let’s discuss this farce you’re orchestrating. You’ve transformed the governor’s office into a backdrop for your political fantasy island, “If we don’t look for crime, we won’t find any.” Applause, Governor, your act might snag an award for best comedy if only it weren’t so tragic for the citizens of Colorado.

So, here's a direct message from the tax-paying citizens of this state: We see through this charade. Genuine crime control comes from robust law enforcement, not from strategic blindness. It's time for us to hold our elected officials accountable. So, Governor Polis, take off that make-believe crown of yours and start taking real action. The citizens of Colorado are not fools, and we demand genuine crime control.
