Horn’s Team Continues to Implode!

It appears that members of the State GOP working under Brita continue to abandon a sinking ship. The latest to resign is John Fielding, now the former member of the State GOP Bylaws Committee. He joins a growing list of others who have stepped down – including the Treasurer, Vice Chairman, Teller Committee Chair (just days before the all-Zoom SCC Vice Chair election), the Parliamentarian, and the Communications Director – that we know of.
Yet the one person who hasn’t left is the very person the SCC voted to remove – Brita’s personal attorney, Steven Klenda. According to a recent RinoWatch newsletter: In court filings, Horn and her attorney Klenda are attempting to convince the Judge not to believe his own ears regarding the vote to fire Klenda as Party attorney. A recording of the meeting clearly shows Horn calling for a voice vote. Clearly shows the SCC voted “Yes” to fire Klenda. And clearly shows Horn saying “Okay, passes, passes.”
One can’t help but ask: who will be next? How many more good people will be pushed out simply because Brita refuses to listen, bullies dissenters, and does whatever she pleases – bylaws be damned?
On deck may be the newly elected Vice Chair, Richard Holtorf. It was difficult to watch Brita publicly “shoo” him away on stage at the SCC meeting, a moment that surely embarrassed him in front of the entire membership. If that’s how she treats him publicly, one can only imagine how much worse it must be behind closed doors.
Brita has proven herself to be one of the most incompetent, arrogant, and dictatorial Chairs our Party has ever seen. She has repeatedly failed to perform the duties of her office as outlined in our bylaws, inventing rules and procedures on the fly to serve her own agenda. Anyone who has witnessed her SEC or SCC meetings has seen firsthand how she twists and manipulates the bylaws to justify whatever she wants to do in the moment, despite clearly having no grasp of how to run an orderly or legitimate meeting.
