KIRKMEYER, GANAHL AND CHAIRMAN HORN THE THREE HEADED REPUBLICAN FEMALE HYDRA

Updated: Apr 26

In Greek mythology there is a many headed water monster called the “Hydra.” In Colorado there is a female Hydra that now runs the Colorado Republican Party. The primary face is the rough looking new GOP Chair Brita Horn elected to the role on March 29th. The dimwitted spike haired Horn is trotted out by the media to speak for the party but in reality, she has little or no ability to make anything happen for Republicans in the state. Horn lives at a hard scrabble ranch owned by her husband and his brother in McCoy, Colorado an unincorporated town (pop. 30) 41 miles from Vail in Routt County. She just sits in her kitchen every morning with no staQ or volunteers to help her. It takes two and half to over three hours for her to drive to Denver. A simple lunch at the State Capital with a donor or state legislator is a full day odyssey for Chairwoman Horn. Oops, apparently Horn does not like the female title or even the gender-neutral Chair but utilizes the masculine Chairman. On May 31st the lease on the party headquarters in Greenwood Village will expire and the last vestiges of a physical infrastructure for the state GOP will disappear. The Colorado GOP will only be virtual. Horn has said she will start up four regional oQices around the state but the same is but a ruse. There is no money to lease space or to staQ the same. All that can be hoped for is a windowless room with posters, but no phone or computer stuQed in some Republican Congressional oQice out in the sticks. If you have a question about state GOP aQairs good luck on finding someone to talk to. The most important oQicer in the state GOP after the party chair is the Treasurer. As of this writing Brita doesn’t have one. Accountant and Eagle County vice chair Michael Wheeler, who loudly demanded forensic audit of the party’s financial statements (which cost six figures), accepted the Treasurer job and got the party check book. But he quickly resigned once he found out how much uncompensated work would be involved and how much personal liability he would be undertaking. No replacement has yet been announced by Horn. But a search for an unlucky patsy is going on full bore. When Kristy Burton Brown left two years ago as Chairwoman she claimed there was $100,000 plus on the books when in fact the party was underwater owing tens of thousands to the landlord and lawyers. Williams will leave Horn better oQ but essentially the party is at breakeven at best and there are no recurring sources of income. Williams was resourceful in figuring out ways to garner funds like charging Republican hopefuls tens of thousands filing fees to be in the Republican presidential primary, but no one thinks Horn will be able to do so. The Chairman is not the sharpest knife in the draw on financial matters as she demonstrated in her disastrous term as Routt County Treasurer. Moreover, many of the old Establishment donors have gone on to greener pastures. While insiders expect Horn to be something of a Maytag repairman in her kitchen in McCoy, whatever resembles day to day operations for the Republican Party will be under the tenacles of Heidi Ganahl - the second Hydra head. The thin skinned Ganahl does not like taking direct fire. She is hiding inside the so called “training” committee set up by Horn ostensibly lead by Nancy Pallozzi and also includes Holly Horn and Kathleen Chandler. She wants to oQer “training” to grassroot organizations around the state so that they are all “rowing in the right direction” which means leftward. While claiming she is MAGA and pro Trump her training is little more than unseemly grooming of politically innocent individuals in order to turn them into future RINOs. The last of the Hydra triumvirate is Weld County State Senator Barbara Kirkmeyer. Destroying the Republican Party in Colorado is her game, and she will bully and threaten anyone who gets in her way. The only purpose of political parties is to determine what the party stands for, who will be their nominees for public oQice and help get them elected in the general election. Kirkmeyer was chosen as party nominee for state senator in a Republican primary in 2020 over a conservative Rupert Parchment. That year ruby red Weld County was overtaken by RINOs due to massive funding from New York Democrats lead by the leftwing daughter in law of Rupert Murdoch, Kathryn Murdoch. Kirkmeyer has been leading the party leftward as fast as possible. Her first bill in last legislative session proposed to abolish party caucuses, assemblies and conventions. Candidates would be elected in jungle primaries leaving parties and their members with nothing do which would suit rich candidate donors just fine. However, the Democrats killed her legislation not wanting the public to know just how rigged the political system has become in Colorado. Colorado is already a one-party state with Democrats controlling the Governorship, the House, the Senate and every state-wide oQice along with every state judge. How could it get worse? Well, the Republican Party could just disappear devoured by a three headed Hydra monster of Kirkmeyer, Ganahl and Chairman Horn which is happening now.
