NEW! Weld Co RINOs Crazed by Dave Derangement Syndrome

Dear Members,

This past Saturday, Weld County Republicans were required to hold a new reorganizational meeting because their leadership willfully violated State Party rules and state law. The main reason for this controversy was because Weld County Republican leadership refused to hold a ratification vote for around 40 volunteers who were nominated to fill vacant PCP slots, which were left unfilled for approximately 10 months prior. These 40 volunteers were longtime registered Republicans who wanted to step up and support their local Party, especially as we gear up for a tough election fight in 2026 that could decide the balance of power in the U.S. House of Representatives with Congressional District 8 being one of the toughest races in the country to maintain for the GOP. Unfortunately, Weld County Republican leadership didn't want these volunteers having a voice or vote on their county central committee and, instead, filled vacancies in other precincts with their preferred appointees in preparation for their originally scheduled election in February. When the State Party Executive Committee was asked to resolve this controversy, they initially directed Weld County to hold a ratification vote for these 40 volunteers at the beginning of their originally scheduled February reorganizational meeting so that they may be credentialed to vote if the ratification was successful. Weld County Republican leadership willfully defied the State Party Executive Committee's original directive and broke State law after they referred the ratification vote away from the county central committee altogether. In light of Weld County's deliberate disregard for proper protocol that would have ensured fairness within our election process, your State Party Executive Committee rendered a new controversy decision requiring a new reorganizational meeting to be held in Weld County that would be administered by State Party staff on March 8th, 2025. Despite State Party staff, and volunteers from other counties, being harassed and mistreated by some in Weld County, your State Party was able to effectively conduct the new meeting and generate true and accurate elections results from voters who participated this past Saturday. Below are the results for your reference along with the controversy decision from the State Party Executive Committee. We've also included the list of volunteers, and some volunteers letters, who were properly nominated. Unfortunately, Weld County Republicans voted to turn away these new volunteers and silence their voices while also voting to shrink their own local Party tent. Even though it makes no sense to any objective observer, the State Party will respect the wishes of their voters, and their elected politicians, who publicly voted to turn away free volunteers and their volunteer efforts in winning for 2026. The State Party's primary concern was compliance from Weld County Republicans with State Party rules and state law - that mission was accomplished. Hopefully, Weld County Republicans will reconsider their divisive decision to disenfranchise others and actually pursue unity with their Republican neighbors in the future.

Respectfully, Colorado Republicans
